JSPL begins transportation of iron ore from Sarda Mine

Global crude steel output in 2019 rises 3.4 percent

As per data released by the World Steel, the global crude steel production for the year 2019 reached 1,869.9 million tonnes (Mt), an increase by 3.4 percent compared to 2018. The contraction in the crude steel production for 2019 was witnessed in all the regions except in Asia and the Middle East.

India, US agree to settle the dispute over steel import duty

The World Trade Organization has agreed to engage in discussions and resolve amicably the dispute prevailing over the countervailing duties imposed by the US on certain hot-rolled carbon steel flat products from India. Some companies such as Essar Steel, Steel Authority of India Ltd(SAIL), Tata Steel and JSW were affected by the countervailing duties.
