Hot commissioning of new level2 system from Primetals Technologies completed in JSL’s Jajpur plant

According to the project contractor Primetals Technologies, a new, comprehensive level-2-process automation system which includes a dynamic process model is successfully installed. After running the old and new systems in parallel, the hot commissioning of the new level-2-system from Primetals Technologies was completed successfully in just two weeks. This has led to an increase in process stability and improvement in the accuracy for the calculation of the development of carbon and temperature in real time during production.

JSPL resumes operations in DRI Plant in Odisha’s Angul district

Jindal Steel and Power Ltd's said that 1.8 million tonnes per annum coal gasification based direct reduced iron plant has resumed operation in Odisha’s Angul district. The plant was un operational for long due to the scarcity of coal. Coal India and its arm Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd started selling coal in adequate quantities which helped to resume operation.
